Our practice areas
Scott B. Franklin & Associates is a law firm which prides itself in providing practical and courteous service at reasonable rates in the following areas:
Business
We represent hundreds of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and sole proprietors, retail stores, contractors, computer consultants, physician practices, dental practices, accountants, restaurants, manufacturing companies, and more.
Residential and Commercial Real Estate
We perform hundreds of real estate closings per year, and have established excellent relationships with local real estate agents, lenders and insurance agents. We also draft leases and prepare zoning applications.
Medical and Dental Practices
Many medical practices, dental practices, and individual physicians and dentists in the day-to-day needs of their practices and in their practice transitions. We work closely with practice consultants, practice transition brokers, practice acquisition lenders, and accountants who specialize in the healthcare area.
Estate Planning
We don’t simply take documents off the shelf, dust them off and insert your names in the blanks. We also don’t engage in scare tactics about the probate process.
Probate
We handle large and small estates, guardianships, name changes, and conservatorships. The probate process is a means of making sure that your assets pass as required in your Will. We have seen over the years that, in an effort to avoid probate, many individuals and families spend more money on the probate avoidance process than they would if they actually went through the probate process.
